    Welcome, yes you can, just make sure you save the firmware on it before you flash & update it. You do that just incase the new firmware doesn't work right you can install the old firmware back on the SD card.

    It will be fine for you to drive the car until you get the new pads, you don't use the rears that much. Just don't do any high-speed stopping.
